- Less than .004” wear has been seen over a period of 14 months on the CeramaSealer grease tubes.

“Breaking In” a new Wireline
It is highly recommended to “break in” your new Wireline with an oversized set of steel grease tubes prior to installing your new CeramaSealer grease tubes. The “break in” period should be long enough to season your line and get all the armors set in place. Once you feel the line is ready, put your CeramaSealer grease tubes in place and enjoy the savings to your Wireline operations.
Checking line over the life of the CeramaSealer Grease Tube
Once your CeramaSealer tubes are in place you will see tapering of your Wireline, over time. Every month your line should be checked with a micrometer to see how quickly your line is wearing. Once you are at your deepest depth, with the Wireline, take an x and y axis reading with the micrometer and record it. Do this every 1000’ coming up the hole and record these readings. As you see the line starting to wear outside the tolerance of your CeramaSealer grease tubes, begin cutting line at a point that puts you back into tolerance. This will allow for a better seal to be kept and for the CeramaSealer grease tubes to do their job properly.
